Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave or haven’t had an human interaction in the last 9 months, you’ve been feeling the affects of some pretty interesting energy for the last while. I’m talking about the unsettled, anxious, tumultuous and sometimes a little insane stuff that’s floating around. Even Mother Nature is messy, one minute it’s sunny and beautiful, the next it’s the biggest downpour ever. Then sunny again. Between the weather, the political environment and what seems to be an ever evolving mess of bad driving, we are all feeling it to some degree. The question is how to handle it, especially when you’re on the verge of a parking lot fight with a woman who’s old enough to be your Mom.
Our planet is going through a major shift right now and just like clearing your packed up garage, it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Please know, it will get better. I thought it would be cool to share a few things you can do to make sure you’re good when things around aren’t so much. So here’s my tips for staying calm, cool and collected in the midst of a little madness.
~Get grounded. I can’t stress how important this is. If you’re not grounded, meaning you’re connected to and aware of your physical body, you will float away like a ballon down a sewer. (See what I did there.) Start your day off by getting present to your feet. When you wake up first thing squeeze your toes, press your feet into the floor, slap your thighs a bit. When you focus on your lower half, you’re setting yourself up to get grounded AF.
~All black everything. If you’re a crystal lover, black stones like tourmaline, onyx and shungite are a must have in your arsenal. They absorb negativity, clear energy and protect you from the heavy vibes. Carry them in your pocket, wear them as jewelry, put stones by your bed, in your car. Wherever you need.
~Give yourself extra time. Rushing creates anxiety, which creates reaction. If there are things you can trim away from your schedule or shift around so that your life is more calm, I’d say that’s a wonderful way to go.
~Practice patience and compassion. This is an emotional time. Granted there will always be things happening, because that’s life. If you can take a moment and say to yourself, I have no idea what this person is going through and I know where I’m at. If you treat other people the way you want to be treated, you’re creating a ripple effect of good vibes.
~Meditate! Please. Seriously though please meditate. It does so many good things.
The truth is that your impact, whether you are fully aware of it or not, is quite remarkable. You can choose to have a positive impact and set yourself up in a way that encourages others to follow in your foot steps. Will it always be perfect? Of course not, but that’s what makes it fun. If you commit to come from a place of love and joy, you’ll carry that around with you everywhere. You can’t help but shift when you’re in that.
